Target, Provisional & Actuals
These fields can be populated by a Unanet Administrator and are used in calculating Indirect Cost Rates on various Project Costing Reports.
If no rates are supplied for a particular Indirect Cost pool or rate type (target, provisional or actual) the calculations will assume a value of zero.
Target - the rate determined by the company as a goal rate based on budgets. This rate is typically used for long term planning.
Provisional - the rate determined by forward pricing and typically approved by audit of an outside firm or agency. This rate is typically used for billing.
Actual - the rate based on actual costs recorded in the General Ledger. The actual rate is dynamic and changes with each period as costs are incurred. These values can be manually entered, and can optionally be calculated and updated via the Cost Pool Calculation process.
