Description

This is the description for the detail line. If the PO line is associated with an approved PR or PO line, this field is pre-populated with the value from the approved line.

If Pre-populate Item Name and Item Code in PO Description (unanet.purchasing.prepopulate_item_name_and_item_code_in_po_description) is enabled, Item Name and Item Code will be pre-populated in the PO line Description field. You can overwrite if it is pre-populated.

If Show External Comments Only field is checked on Purchase Order Format (see Admin > Setup Purchase Order Formats), Item code and Item Name from description field will be displayed within the description field of the printed PO.

If Show External Comments Only is unchecked, Item Code will be concatenated within the Item field of the printed PO.
